Shipping Policy, Options & Rates

The shipping carriers used by Dawn Price Baby are determined not only by when and where the customer would like the item purchased to be shipped, but also by the size of the item.

Small furnishings, nursery or room décor items and bedding are typically shipped via ground service with small package carriers, such as, the United Parcel Service or the United States Postal Service.

Larger, bulky or heavy items, such as furniture, require special consideration in shipping and delivery. Because these items are either bulky, heavy or both, we must ship them via Standard Delivery or Premium Delivery (where available) with special in-home furniture carriers. As a result, these oversized items incur a related Standard Delivery or Premium Delivery surcharge (shown on the product page of the item purchased and in your Shopping Cart) in addition to the regular shipping charges noted below.

Standard Shipping Rates

In general, items that are in stock, will be shipped within one to two business day. Orders placed over the weekend or on holidays will be processed the next business day. In the event of a delay, you will be notified via email. Items sent directly from our suppliers may take longer, and items ordered together may not arrive in the same box. Many of our items are custom in nature and shipping times may vary. Please refer to the individual product pages for estimated delivery times for individual items. Important notes:

  • Shipping times are calculated based on when the order has left the warehouse. The customer will receive an Order Confirmation email that provides detailed information on the estimated delivery date.
  • Shipping times do not reflect holiday delivery schedules.
  • Shipping times may vary due to availability of merchandise.
  • 2nd and Next Day is not available for Saturday deliveries.

Standard shipping rates are based on Ground shipping methods and are calculated on the amount of each purchase; please refer to the chart below. Some items require an additional shipping charge due to excess weight or special packaging requirements. If there is an additional shipping charge for an item it will be noted on the individual product pages. Please add this amount to the Standard Shipping cost listed below.

Two day express delivery is available only for items that we have in-stock. The cost is an additional $12.50 to the Ground shipping cost calculations for orders shipped to the contiguous 48 states. 2nd Day express deliveries ship only during standard business days and do not ship on weekends or holidays. 2nd day express delivery may not be available for items we do not have in stock or that are drop shipped from our suppliers and artisans. Next Day / Saturday Delivery (Available for orders placed before 9am EST)
If an item is available for Next Day and/or Saturday delivery, the cost is an additional $32.00 to the Ground shipping cost. Next Day / Saturday Delivery may not be available for items we do not have in stock or that are drop shipped from our suppliers and artisans. To ensure an item is available for Next Day / Saturday Deliver, please contact us for more information.

Free Shipping

On several of our products we offer free standard/Ground shipping. If you order an item that has free shipping, in addition to, one or more regular items, you will be charged only for the shipping costs for the regular items. Or, if you choose to ship an item Express, you will be charged the difference in Express shipping cost over the calculated standard/Ground shipping cost. If for any reason you need to return an item that had free shipping, the refund you receive will be for the item price minus the standard shipping cost (see the above calculations). If, however, the item being returned is defective it will be replaced with no additional shipping fees. If you choose to exchange the free shipping item for another item that had free shipping or not, a standard shipping charge will be added based on the above calculations.

Freight Shipping / In-Home Furniture Carriers for Oversized Items

Items shipped utilizing these special in-home furniture carriers will be placed either on the driveway if Standard Delivery was chosen or placed inside main threshold or in the room of your choice with all trash discarded if Premium Delivery was available and selected. The special in-home furniture carrier will contact you directly to schedule a pre-determined delivery time. It is important that someone is home to carefully inspect all merchandise for any damages or defects and contact us immediately if this is the case. Although our suppliers take great care in packaging their goods for shipping, damages sometimes will occur in transit. Please make note of any damages to your furniture or to the packaging materials and contact us immediately. You have the right to refuse delivery of damaged goods, but Dawn Price Baby will be unable to assist you in replacement of damaged goods or reimbursement if the above procedures are not followed.

If you are unable to meet the delivery driver at your scheduled appointment time, please call the carrier directly to reschedule your delivery. If delivery cannot be scheduled within 10 days, applicable storage fees will be due and payable upon delivery to receive your item. The additional storage fees are assessed by the carriers and are independent of Dawn Price Baby. Dawn Price Baby has no control over the appointments scheduled between the carrier and the customer and can not be held responsible for any additional fees.

Delivery Times and Freight Shipping Notes

On every product page, you will find a reasonable estimate of delivery time. It is important to note that these are estimated shipping times only and can not be guaranteed by Dawn Price Baby. Occasionally, issues arise that are beyond our control that may lead to additional production time. If this is the case, you will be alerted as soon as we are made aware of the delay. It is important to note that once a piece leaves our manufacturer's facility, the remaining shipping time is beyond our control. Dawn Price Baby functions as a liaison to get your merchandise safely to you. Although this process generally runs smoothly, delays and damages may be caused by the freight company. Dawn Price Baby will do our best to assist in getting your furniture to you in timely manner and assist in repairing any damages that may have been incurred. It is extremely important that you inspect all freight shipped items very carefully and do not sign for your furniture if you suspect any damage.

Tracking Your Order

Once a delivery has been scheduled, the customer will receive a tracking number via a Shipping Confirmation email sent by Dawn Price Baby or, in cases of larger items, directly from the warehouse. In cases where the item was shipped via the United Parcel Service, please have your tracking number available and log into www.ups.com. In cases where the item was shipped via a special in-home carrier, the respective carrier will have their own website to log in and track the item. This information is found in your Shipping Confirmation email.
